Since the beginning of the year, 80 mcm were sold on the UEEX. The trading platform demonstrates positive dynamics and can potentially become the base for establishment of the Ukrainian bechmark of the natural gas price based on the domestic supply and demand.

Roman Opimakh: "Transparency and mobility of trades will contribute to increasing the quality of the gas market via strengthening of competitiveness, attractiveness and level of trust between the market players. It is the development of a liquid trading platform, which has become the base for building European gas hubs".

9 gas producers have participated in the workshop: DTEK Oil & Gas, Burisma Group, Poltava Petroleum Company, PJSC Ukrnafta, Ukrgasvydobuvannya, Ukrnaftoburinnya, Geo Alliance Group, Smart Energy, CUB-Gas, as well as the foreign traders (Trafigura), representatives of the USAID Ukraine and Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine. Some of the producers have already shifted their sales completely to the exchange.

During the workshop the participants were introduced to the key characteristics of the UEEX trading platform's work, bidding and transactions procedures, settlement of shipping and payment.
