The Association's management, as well as the representatives of the gas producers jointly with the Canadian consulting company RLG International have been learning about the worldwide experience of increasing oil and gas production efficiency.

Examples of world companies implementing projects, and the results in terms of increasing drilling and establishment of the wells were reviewed. The specifics of projects in the industry by region and country were discussed. During the workshop, the participants were able to model production figures using various technologies, based on the methodologies developed by RLG.

*** Nowadays, two elements may facilitate oil and gas production:

- Technological solutions (implementation of capital intensive high-end technologies in targetting, drilling, bed cutting, etc.);

- Managerial decisions (choise of optimal project and production management models). ***

*** Value of the company is created during the planning stage. At the same time, the cost of eliminating the mistake during the planning stage is significantly lower that during the execution stage ***

*** In planning, detalization is important, the more detailed the plan is, the better is the execution process ***

The Association's executive director, Roman Opimakh, states that "the business advantage nowadays is the human resources and focus on know-hows. Today, efficient business processes' planning and creation of motivation in all links of the decision making chain is the key to company and its management's success".
