Over the first three months of 2020, PrJSC MC Ukrnaftoburinnya produced 197 million m3of natural gas, which is 19% higher compared to the same period of the previous year. Oil and condensate production grew by 13% in comparison with the same period of 2019 and comprised 23.2 thousand tons.

Overall gas production at the Sakhalin Field during Q1 2020 was 226.3 million m3, while oil and condensate production was 24.6 thousand tons, which is 11% higher compared to the same period of the previous year.

During March 2020, gas production of PrJSC MC Ukrnaftoburinnya comprised 65.2 million m3, while oil and condensate production was 7.6 thousand tons.

“Despite the global economic situation and strict quarantine measures, UNB continues to improve its production results and focus on modern technologies to maintain and increase production volumes. Our team of professionals upholds high-quality standards. However, the hydrocarbon production industry is currently in a difficult situation. Possible enforced reduction of investments in oil and gas production may have a negative impact on Ukraine's energy independence. Strategically important for the country industry especially needs urgent legislative initiatives and support from the state,” Michael Bakunenko, Chairman of the Executive Board of PrJSC MC Ukrnaftoburinnya,commented upon the results.
