On October 26, 2017, the DTEK Oil&Gas' Machukhska gas production unit was opened after renovation. The event was visited by the Prime-minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman, as well as the management of the Poltava oblast – Head of Poltava oblast administration, Valery Golovko, and his deputy, Andriy Pisotsky.
Machukhska gas production unit provides for the preparation of natural gas and gas condensate from the wells of the Machukhske gas field, and their transportation to the Dykanka-Kremenchuk-Kryvyi Rih high pressure pipeline. In 2017, DTEK Oil&Gas has had the unit repaired. Combined investments are over 100 million hryvnia. Repair has been completed in record terms – only 6 months.
During repairs of the Machukhske GPU, numerous advanced technological solutions were used. The company has constructed a new gas preparation line with the use of efficient separating and heat exchange units, implemented an automated technological process management system on the basis of Siemens new generation equipment. DTEK Oil&Gas is the first one among the Ukrainian gas producers to equip the gas measurement unit with the gas chromatograph and moisture analyzer, which allows to comply with the Network Code requirements.
"It is very important for us to stop importing gas to Ukraine. We should produce it domestically in Ukraine. And it is possible" – the Prime-minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman, noted during the press briefing.
In 2018, DTEK Oil&Gas will start a new drilling program on Machukhske gas field. According to the program, the plan is to open promising strata, and enter into development new high-debit wells. Thus, the GPU capacity had to be increased almost by a factor of 2 – from 1.2 to 2 million cubic meters per day.
Igor Shchurov, the CEO of DTEK Oil&Gas, has highlighted: "While repairing the Machukhske gas production unit, we were using the most advanced technologies and equipment needed to develop the Ukrainian petroleum industry. They allow to efficiently realize the natural resources potential and increase gas production, which is required to achieve energy independence of Ukraine."
