The management of the Association of Gas Producers of Ukraine was elected during the Board meeting.

Daniel Maydanik, who was previously the Chairman of the Board of the Association, was assigned as the Honorary President of the Association.

«In the years of the Association’s existence we managed to organize productive cooperation with the government, business, and the international organizations in reforming the gas production industry of the country. The development of the industry has become the strategic priority of the state policy, which proves the efficiency of uniting the players of the gas market. We are planning to further work on achieving the energy independence of Ukraine, increase the investment attractiveness of the industry and attract advanced technologies” – said Daniel Maydanik.

In December 2015 Daniel Maydanik was elected as the Chairman of the Board of the Association of Gas Producers of Ukraine.

Since 2009 is the head of the corporate finance and investment management department, represents the Board of the EastOne group where, in particular, coordinates the petroleum sector.

Daniel Maydanik has an international certificate in IFRS, audit and financial management, is the member of the Supervisory Board of the ACCA of Ukraine.
 

Vadym Pozharskyi, the director of international cooperation and strategic development, adviser to the Board of the international energy group Burisma, was elected as the Chairman of the Board.

«For over two years, the Association is the driver of the country’s energy independence, attempting to implement the European standards of gas market functioning in Ukraine. Together with the state and local authorities we are going to further implement the systematic deregulation of the industry, simplify the fiscal policy and conditions for allocating land for wells’ drilling, develop standards of transparent operations of the industry. We must create such conditions that the plans of attracting international investments in the petroleum industry get implemented rather than stay on paper only. Jointly we can ensure the energy independence of our country», – stated Vadym Pozharskyi.

Since April 2014 Vadym Pozharskyi is the director of international cooperation and strategic development, adviser to the Board of the Burisma Group. Manages the issues of strategy and cooperation with the international organizations, government and public relations. Before that he has worked in the state sector and has profound experience in working with international organizations.

Vadym Pozharskyi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of East Anglia (Norwich, UK) and a Master’s degree in European Law from Leiden University (Leiden, Netherlands).
