The executive director of the Association, Roman Opimakh, has participated in the 49th Central-Eastern Europeand Caspian Scout Group meeting, which was held on May 11 in the Polish city of Torun. It is the largest regional meeting of the petroleum industry representatives, who are operating in Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Caspian region. The group was created in 1994 and already unites 84 enterprises. The coordinator of the CEEC Scout Group is the leading consulting company IHS Markit.
«The Ukrainian gas production industry has gone through breakthrough changes. Important reforms were implemented to stimulate the development of the industry, attract investments and modern technologies. We are currently working on the attractive offer to be proposed by the Government – a package of oil and gas blocks – to invite the international investors», – stated Roman Opimakh during his speech.
During the meeting, the executive director of the Association has met with the representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Alberta, Carmen Killick, and the Canadian Global Exploration Forum, Adele Williamson. They have discussed the joint actions, cooperation in production, drilling and services, as well as future events with the participation of Ukraine in the part of opening geological information and holding oil and gas auctions.
Among the participants of the 49th CEEC Scout Group meeting were the representatives of the producers, who are members of the group: ExxonMobil, Vermilion Energy, Shell, ENI, Total, INA oil, Hunt Oil, San Leon Energy, MOL, PGNIG, Lotos Upstream, Nafta, JKX Oil and Gas, MND, CalTerra Energy, Minijos Nafta, Serinus Energy, Repsol Exploration, Hellen Petroleum, TransAtlantic Petroleum, Zakhidnadraservis, Orlen Upstream, Svenska Petroleum Exploration.
From the government organizations, the representatives of the Croatian Oil and Gas Agency, the Ministry of Energy of Bulgaria, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Poland, the Ministry of National Development of Hungary, Oil and Gas Agency of Montenegro, National Mineral Resources Agency of Romania, Alberta Trade and Investment Department have participated.
