As a result of August, natural gas production in Ukraine increased by 2.6% (44.7 million cubic meters) to 1.78 billion cubic meters compared with August 2017. This is evidenced by the operational data of Ukrtransgas JSC.

Growth of production became possible primarily by increasing the productivity of private companies. In August, they reached 388 million cubic meters, which is 8.7% (31.19 million cubic meters) more than the same month last year. In August, compared to July 2018, production increased by 3.4% (12.71 million cubic meters).

"It is a natural reaction of the market to the introduction by the government of incentive royalties, as well as a deregulation of the permit system. We expect that the dynamics of domestic gas production growth can double in the near future." It is now important to save the policy stable and to conduct transparent international auctions on new fields" - tells the Executive Director of the Association of Gas Producers Roman Opimakh.
